By monitoring lead time, the team lead can assess how efficiently work is flowing through the system and identify areas where bottlenecks or delays may be occurring. Reducing lead time is one of the primary goals in Kanban to improve overall process efficiency and delivery speed.

The Scrum Master should act as a facilitator and protect the team from unnecessary distractions that do not add value. By attending the meetings in place of the team members, the Scrum Master can assess the meetings' value and determine if they are essential to the team's progress.
