The highlight of OceanStor Dorado HyperMetro solution is that Huawei HyperMetro can support active-active SAN & NAS solution without adding any hardware or licenses. HyperMetro is a gateway-free active-active solution that synchronizes data between two storage systems in real time and ensures zero service interruption and zero data loss in case of any failure in one system or site. HyperMetro also supports transparent failover and load balancing, which enhances the performance and efficiency of data storage. HyperMetro can support both SAN and NAS protocols in one box, which means it can provide active-active protection for both block and file services without requiring separate devices or gateways.

OceanProtect provides fast backup and restore capabilities that can reduce the backup window and improve the recovery point objective (RPO) and recovery time objective (RTO) for enterprise data.  OceanProtect leverages E2E acceleration, high bandwidth, and instant access technologies to achieve up to 155 TB/h backup bandwidth and 172 TB/h recovery bandwidth, which are the industry’s highest levels 1 .  OceanProtect also supports instant access to data in backup images, enabling quick utilization of backup data 2 .

RAID-TP is not a technology used by OceanProtect to accelerate backup and recovery performance. RAID-TP is a technology used by OceanStor Dorado to improve data reliability and availability.
